Tampa Bay open for business after Irma

Irma is gone. And she left behind very little damage to Tampa Bay. So now's the time enjoy the beautiful weather that followed Irma into town. Take your mind off the past week (and keep those out-of-school kids busy) with a visit to some of the region's top attractions. Here's what to you'll discover:

Attractions/Activities

Tampa International Airport

Tampa Bay's gateway to the world reopened at 9 a.m. Tuesday and is back to full service.

Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and its sister park, SeaWorld Orlando, are offering a respite for storm-weary Florida residents: a buy one, get one single day ticket offer, available for purchase and use Wednesday, September 13 through Sunday, September 17, 2017. 

Florida Aquarium

The Aquarium and its animals are in good shape after Hurricane Irma. The Aquarium reopened Tuesday, Sept. 12 and is offering free parking and $10 adult & $5 child admission this week. The Splash Pad opens today.

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo reopened at 9:30 a.m. today and is offering a bargain: your pass today gets you readmission the rest of the year for free. Special deals on food all week and weekend for guests. Members of MOSI and Florida Aquarium get free admission to the zoo during Swaptember.

Pirate Water Taxi

Ahoy! Downtown's iconic water taxi is offering 1 free child day pass per 1 paid adult day pass today through Friday.

Tampa Museum of Art

The museum reopened this morning with reduced admission ($7.50 Adults; $3.50 Seniors(65+), Military, Educators; Free for Children under 12). Sono Cafe will reopen on Thursday.

Glazer Children's Museum

GCM reopens today, September 13, with $7 admission to let kids burn off their excess energy while they're out of school following Hurricane Irma.

The Tampa Riverwalk

The Tampa Riverwalk is open with access along its entire 2.4-mile length. Rent a two-wheeler from Coast Bike Share and go for a ride.

Restaurants

After a brief storm-related interruption in food supplies, restaurants across the region are reopening this week. This list highlights some -- not all -- of them. Please check with your own favorite eating places to see what their plans are.

Columbia Restaurant Group

All the restaurants belonging to the Columbia group -- Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City, Columbia Cafe at the Tampa Bay History Center, Goody Goody Burgers in Hyde Park Village, and Ulele in Tampa Heights will reopen at 11 a.m. today and will be ready for lunch.

Oxford Exchange: reopened on Tuesday.

Mise en Place: reopened Tuesday and is donating to Community Foundation of Tampa Bay.

The Refinery: open today.

Rooster & The Till: open for dinner today.

Ichicoro Ramen: open for lunch

Cigar City Brewing reopens at 11 a.m. today.
