The Bachelorette’s Guide to the Big Guava

The Bachelorette’s Guide to the Big Guava

There’s a reason why being single is the time so many people claim they’re “living their best life”! The same is true in the city of Tampa Bay– where, single or coupled, you’re going to have a blast. For “all the single ladies” out here, we got you. There’s some amazing activities to celebrate- and these are for all ladies ages 21+.

There’s some amazing opportunities to flaunt what you’ve got, hang out with your girlfriends, let loose and have fun, and rest and revive- and we’ll walk you through it all. So let’s go, we’ll walk you through a weekend in the fun, fabulous life of being a bachelorette in The Big Guava!

Let’s Start With a Toast

Whether it’s cheers to the freaking weekend or it’s just a great day to be alive, mimosas are probably in order! Your new favorite spots have arrived.

Miguelitos Taqueria Y Tequilas

  1. Daily Eats

901 S Howard Ave
Tampa, FL 33606
M-F 7AM-8:30PM, S-S 8AM-8:30PM

It’s an upscale diner with mimosa’s galore! There’s orange, blueberry, apple, cranberry, mango, strawberry, grapefruit, and pineapple. So much glorious yum to get your party fueled the fun, bright, and colorful way! The food is amazing too, so make sure if this is your mimosa spot that you go in hungry (Mexi Avo Toast and Jersey Shore Bagel- we’re looking at you). The crowd skews young and fun, just like you!

  1. Miguelitos

2702 W Kennedy Blvd
Tampa, FL 33609
Open daily at 11AM

Bottomless mimosas every Saturday and Sunday 11-3, need we say more? Other than this is one of the trendiest spots in the city with great energy to rev up a fun day that turns into a fun night. Save room for something sweet, the Hummingbird Pancakes (pineapple, banana, pecans, and cream cheese icing) are an experience worth having. The mimosas are classic orange or watermelon and always so fresh. The crowd also skews young and fun here so get ready for a great time!

  1. Gaspar’s Grotto

1805 E 7th Ave
Tampa, FL 33605
Opens M-S at 7AM and Sun. at 10:30AM

Priding themselves on being the spot “where EVERYBODY feels comfortable”, Gaspar’s Grotto is your place to mingle while you sip. There’s two seatings of Sunday “Booze Cruize Brunches” or just pop in for breakfast hours starting at 7! If you’re looking to get out there and talk to people and a fun bar to sit at, Gaspar’s Grotto has got you there. Go ahead and check it out! The drinks are so great, the atmosphere is both welcoming and delicious, and you’ll meet your favorite people in Tampa.

Sexy Time! Pole Dancing Class?!

If you’re single and loving your life, you will want to dance your days away! We love pole dancing classes with some friends to work off that breakfast/brunch and mimosa’s (or are we just prepping for round 2?). At each of the studios we recommend, there is a small and personal atmosphere so you can learn and let loose freely until you’re ready to put your new moves on display! Choose from private or group lessons, more structured workout or more freeform, and all different levels from very beginner all the way to pro and show. When you feel sexy, you feel amazing, so dance your heart out!

Do a Dinner Cruise

Calypso Queen Star Lite Cruises

After a busy morning and afternoon, you’ll want to take a nap or go refresh, shower, change clothes, and call some more friends (or get ready to take to the evening solo- blast that playlist girl!). A dinner cruise is the perfect way to finish up that afternoon recharge in a beautiful, leisurely, and social way. Enter: Calypso Queen!

This is a semi-casual option with amazing views, a super fun bar (as well as buffet for dinner, so it’s inherently a social vibe), very friendly staff with great reviews, and a crowd that always shows up ready to have a good time. It’s the perfect place to meet new and old friends.

There’s also a DJ, so get your party started (or, re-started from earlier in the day) with those new and old friends you just made! If you’re local- play tourist! If you’re from out of town, make sure you chat with the others having their first or returning experiences in Tampa. You’re sure to have tons to talk about over some yummy rum, all over the beautiful water.

Karaoke and Clubs Oh My!

Go ahead- stay out late- it’s your time! You’ve eaten and danced your way through the day, enjoy another drink or two and belt it out at karaoke (or go and watch if karaoke is more a spectator sport, entertainment guaranteed!) before checking in for the night.

Karaoke Night Tampa

  1. Double Decker

1721 E 7th Ave
Tampa, FL 33605

The perfect mix of regulars and out-of-towners, Double Decker marries an awesome staff with a fun environment that naturally attracts crowds you’ll want to join right in! It’s hands down the spot you go to meet people. Bonus points if you like beer, this is a German bar and Biergarten where you can enjoy brews from around the globe (20+ types)- if you come for just the beer, you’ll leave ready to come back for the company!

  1. Pete’s Place South

4145 Henderson Blvd
Tampa, FL 33629

Here’s your dive bar with local flair (it has undergone a huge reboot with relatively new ownership and Tampa natives are loving it- leaving reviews to the tune of 5 stars)! If you’re feeling peckish while you sing your heart out, their wings are low key famous. Don’t be surprised if you end up staying here til closing time without even realizing several hours have gone by. It’s too much fun!

  1. Tampa Karaoke VIP

930 E Fletcher Ave
Tampa, FL 33612

For the karaoke pros among us, this is your place, you have arrived! This is an ideal spot if you’re going out with a group- and get ready because they are busy starting at 6:30PM until close. This bar is great because of the private karaoke rooms and the fantastic selection of music (not just in English- there’s Kpop, Chinese, and Japanese music). So gather your friends, grab a pitcher, pick your room, and have at it! The floor is yours!

Spa Time for the Recovery

Ok, you stayed out way past your usual, you played, partied, ate, and sang/danced your way to bliss. The best way to refresh from here is with one of Tampa’s most amazing spas. We’ve picked our three favorites that are particularly restorative.

Tampa Spa

  1. SB Health and Beauty Spa

116 S Oregon Ave
Tampa, FL 33606

If you’re craving for some space and room to breathe deep in your spa experience, this 5,400 square foot nature retreat spa is your place. Choose from a full range of services, or opt for beauty treatments, sauna therapy, or hydrotherapy in the hot tub! They offer packages and parties that you’ll want to check out if you know you’re going to go, book ahead and bliss out when you arrive!

  1. Spa Sudeva

2406 S MacDill Ave
Tampa, FL 33629

A holistic sanctuary, this spa offers many massage journeys (from a sense indulgence to a zen fusion, or a CBDelightful massage, or a hot oil scalp massage- there’s 12 incredible options, you may need two days here. . .) and facial treatments. They also offer luxurious healing sessions of Reiki, a Feather/Sage/Stone cleansing ritual, and intuitive readings if part of your best self is getting right with your spirit!

  1. Spa Jardin

4121 S MacDill Ave
Tampa, FL 33611

Spa Jardin is a Tampa staple for a reason. Their signatures bring us back time and time again- especially the Botanical Back Treatment that is so deeply cleansing and focused on an area that is difficult (well, impossible!) to reach. It’s the perfect treatment for busy bachelorettes, whether you’re local or traveling, you’ll see the benefits immediately of glowing skin, relaxed muscles, and an energized feeling that lasts.

The algae mud wrap is another huge favorite (we love everything about the Seaweed Gel!) and gets the hydration/detoxification job done while making you feel like an absolute goddess. The other cool part about this spa is that they have an amazing walk in express sister spa called Melt Out if you (and any of your accompanying friends) are already feeling fantastic after living your best life and really just want a mani pedi or a facial. Options are the name of the game!

Your weekend is complete and you still have some time to enjoy after the spa! Keep the rest of your time spontaneous and check out some live music at one of Tampa’s 10 best venues, or hit the beach with a book at Davis Island (you are selfie-ready now after all!), or lounge the day and night away reveling in this adventure and dreaming of your next.
